B had her songs down. Her teachers told me that she was the most animated of the group and I was ready to get it on video. Well, she missed the whole first song by searching out Mimi in the crowd. She couldn't see her and was distraught that she wasn't there. On the video you hear me say "JUST DO IT, Mimi's here, JUST DO IT!". Between the two songs I got Mimi to stand up, B saw her and was back in the game. We laughed that one of her teachers even specifically called her name to get her focused. She did a great job on her apple poem. I tried to download the videos, but blogger and I don't see eye to eye when downloading videos. Scott and I knew the 2 songs B's class was singing because we had practiced it day after day. She even changed out the words for other things she would do during the day. Even while sitting on the toilet. One song she sang was "Mr Sun, Sun, Mr Golden Sun please shine down on me". Scott witnessed her singing on the toilet one day "Mr Poopie, Poopie, Mr Brown Poopie please come out of me". Yes, we are proud parents! :)
Well after the two songs were sung, we thought the program was over. Then a guy came out with a guitar and the the whole preschool group sung "It's a great day to praise the Lord". B sung it with all her heart, laughed with her buddies and smiled the most genuinely happy smile she could give. A tear rolled down my cheek while I layed on the floor videotaping it. I was on the floor because the front was packed with parents and their cameras. I literally video taped under a leg of a chair. It was insane! No wonder some kids got stage fright, the paparazzi was unreal!
All of B's pictures are with her friend Romy because they never separate. They are like little twins separated at birth. They look alike, talk alike, act alike and have crazy love for one another. Romy's mom works at the MDO and will tell me precious stories everyday of their little friendship. We celebrated Romy's birthday this afternoon and when it was time for Romy to blow out candles, she got nervous to do it. B put her arm around her and looked her right in the eyes and said "It's ok Romy, you can do it." Romy bit her lip and said back "Will you help me". They blew them out together. Arwen and I were behind them hugging each other at their sweetness.
