It's a Great Day to Praise the Lord!

The annual Spring Program at MDO fell on St Patricks Day this year. Both of the girls classes were apart of the program. I say that with a laugh because Mallory was not having any participation. When I left her classroom she was laying flat on the floor bawling to have my camera. There was nothing I could do but flee the scene and apparently she didn't get over it. Luckily there were many cameras flashing and she never noticed I was behind one of them. I was so nervous that she would see me, half my pictures have the top of a chair in them! MK is in the "Little Ladybug" classroom. When I went digging for green clothes I thought this little shirt was perfect for the occasion! Gotta love that our child is the ONLY one with not only a paci but also her blankie. Oh well, she wasn't crying anymore! Her teacher is the sweetest woman in the world. She's the one that will rock her forever. She tried so hard to change MK's mood- but that MK is a stubborn one! I love these next two. Her teacher braved removing the blankie and paci. Here is the grab for the blankie.

Paci was next and I love the look they shared with each other. I think that little boy is looking over thinking "Oh no she didn't!" He was probably ready to plug his ears for our little darlings response. It was a miracle that MK didn't even protest and even SMILED! I am thankful for these good hearted teachers. Every time that I leave the girls I know that they are greatly loved.

B had her songs down. Her teachers told me that she was the most animated of the group and I was ready to get it on video. Well, she missed the whole first song by searching out Mimi in the crowd. She couldn't see her and was distraught that she wasn't there. On the video you hear me say "JUST DO IT, Mimi's here, JUST DO IT!". Between the two songs I got Mimi to stand up, B saw her and was back in the game. We laughed that one of her teachers even specifically called her name to get her focused. She did a great job on her apple poem. I tried to download the videos, but blogger and I don't see eye to eye when downloading videos. Scott and I knew the 2 songs B's class was singing because we had practiced it day after day. She even changed out the words for other things she would do during the day. Even while sitting on the toilet. One song she sang was "Mr Sun, Sun, Mr Golden Sun please shine down on me". Scott witnessed her singing on the toilet one day "Mr Poopie, Poopie, Mr Brown Poopie please come out of me". Yes, we are proud parents! :)

Well after the two songs were sung, we thought the program was over. Then a guy came out with a guitar and the the whole preschool group sung "It's a great day to praise the Lord". B sung it with all her heart, laughed with her buddies and smiled the most genuinely happy smile she could give. A tear rolled down my cheek while I layed on the floor videotaping it. I was on the floor because the front was packed with parents and their cameras. I literally video taped under a leg of a chair. It was insane! No wonder some kids got stage fright, the paparazzi was unreal!

All of B's pictures are with her friend Romy because they never separate. They are like little twins separated at birth. They look alike, talk alike, act alike and have crazy love for one another. Romy's mom works at the MDO and will tell me precious stories everyday of their little friendship. We celebrated Romy's birthday this afternoon and when it was time for Romy to blow out candles, she got nervous to do it. B put her arm around her and looked her right in the eyes and said "It's ok Romy, you can do it." Romy bit her lip and said back "Will you help me". They blew them out together. Arwen and I were behind them hugging each other at their sweetness.

That being said, Fellowship Bible MDO program has blessed our family tremendously. Besides the leadership, the teachers and the little friendships that my girls are making- I am most joyful that their hearts are directed to understanding God more and more each time that they are there.

Oh my gosh, Amy! Your blog is awesome! Just found it through Amanda's and it will be one of my favorites. I have laughed and cried watching the girls. You and Scott are wonderful parents and know you are loved by many---including us!
